We rejoice through prayer as an integral part of our day to day worship.
Prayer Group

An open invitation is extended to anyone that would like to attend, but any prayer requests can be be placed on the boards in the Grove Centre entrance or the notice board in the Grove Centre small hall.Requests can be anonymous and are treated confidentially. K Bussey usually leads this group. Further information is available by contacting 0113 258 8803.
Prayer List
Members of the Grove Methodist Church are issued with a copy of the prayer list "Praying".
This is a list of all members of the Grove, including those in the wider community, such as our Superintendent, other Ministers and preachers, organisations we encounter, the Methodist Church of Great Britain, the Methodist Church, Churches Together and all our Church friends.
The beauty of this list is that every day of every month, we can rest assured that someone is saying a prayer for us.
It Makes You Think!
You cannot pray the Lord's Prayer and even once say "I",
You cannot pray the Lord's Prayer and even once pray "my",
You cannot say the Lord's Prayer and not pray for another,
For when you ask for daily bread you can't miss out your brother,
Though others are included in each and every plea,
From beginning to the end of it, it does not once say "me".
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory.
For ever and ever
Amen |
